Make that 2 Vintage Booth Locations

I just found out this week that store where I started my vintage booth business is closing. I kinda knew that it had problems as the property had been purchased, and they were doing some construction. But business was just starting to pick up after a very slow winter. Anyway, that is kinda the reason why we (my friend/partner) and I started looking at other places.

We are ecstatic with the newest spot at Status Design And consign, 2240 Hamilton Creek Pkwy in Dacula GA. It is very upscale and fits my personal design style.  Our other space is more laid back and a good place to find true collectibles. It is at Unique Treasures Antique and Flea Market, 3635 Highway 78 W Snellville, GA

We will miss the Ben's location. The staff has taught me so much in my first year doing this business and I will never be able to repay that.  Knowledge is power. The people who are running the store, Angie and Larry are both retiring, and I wish them well.

Here are photos of my shared booth in Dacula (Hamilton Mill)

and my solo booth in Snellville.

Summer project, and next year

I just got two really trashed boxes in the mail. I had ordered a Z rack to get some costumes and such organized.  It looks like they sent me two, and both boxes are trashed. Let's hope I have 1 complete Z-rack from the bunch.  I don't understand.

So I need to spend the summer loading all the costumes onto my website for renting/selling.

Then I need to prepare to costume 4-5 shows beginning in the fall.  2 are supposed to be at the community theatre with me teaching someone else the process. 1 is supposed to be solo in the Spring... I've already started brain storming it. 2 are paid gigs at the public school.  I'm kinda excited about that.

So that's costumes.

As for furnishing and home decor:  I am downsizing my first vintage booth because it is turning out to be a very fickle location. I am opening a small booth 8 miles away because the location seems steller.  First week, I sold a table/chair set I had been sitting on for a year at the other place.  Hopefully, that is a good omen.

Pre-Holidays Update

I am working on costumes for The Spoon River Project, and finished Children of Eden a couple months ago.  Great fun.  Still learning.

My partner, and daughter is on her last year of college, and busier than we thought, but we are still working harder to making this a full time business.

Meanwhile:

I have had my vintage store for about six months now, and I am just getting the hang of it.  In my case, small items rarely sell, and some get stolen.  Big items, preferably hand painted go the fastest, even when painting lowers the value of the item.  Go figure.

Here are some of the more recent items up for sale:
